Which character is the protagonist of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis?

Jill Valentine is the protagonist of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

The game follows Jill during the destruction of Raccoon City. She is a former member of S.T.A.R.S. and is trying to escape the city while Umbrella’s biological weapons cause a massive outbreak. The Nemesis creature relentlessly pursues her because it has been assigned to eliminate surviving S.T.A.R.S. members.

Carlos Oliveira, a member of Umbrella’s U.B.C.S., becomes Jill’s important ally during the story. Players also control Carlos for a section of the campaign, but Jill remains the central protagonist and the character whose escape defines the narrative.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was released in 1999. It takes place around the same period as Resident Evil 2, but its events begin before the earlier game and continue after it. Jill also appears in the original Resident Evil and later titles such as Resident Evil 5.
