Tesco uses the slogan “Every Little Helps.”
The phrase became associated with Tesco in the 1990s and was used across the retailer’s advertising, stores and customer communications. It presents small savings, conveniences and service improvements as meaningful when combined across a large shopping business.
Tesco is one of the United Kingdom’s largest retailers. Jack Cohen founded the company in London in 1919, and the name Tesco was formed from the initials of tea supplier T. E. Stockwell and the first two letters of Cohen’s surname. Tesco opened its first self-service store in 1948.
The slogan is sometimes confused with Sainsbury’s “Live Well for Less” or Asda’s “That’s Asda Price.” Those are separate supermarket campaigns. “Every Little Helps” is specifically associated with Tesco and has also been adapted for different products and retail services.
