Which award did KPop Demon Hunters win at the 98th Academy Awards for the film itself?

KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature at the 98th Academy Awards.

The award recognized the film itself, separate from its song “Golden,” which also won Best Original Song at the same ceremony. This distinction matters because the movie achieved two different Oscar victories: one for the animated feature and one for an individual song.

The film’s animation combines stylized character design, concert staging, action choreography, and Korean-inspired visual motifs. Its story follows Huntrix as performers and demon hunters, allowing musical sequences and fantasy battles to share the same visual world.

KPop Demon Hunters also won Best Animated Feature at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards and the 31st Critics’ Choice Awards. Those wins helped establish it as an awards-season success before its Academy Awards recognition.
