Dina Asher-Smith became the most decorated athlete in European Athletics Championships history after Birmingham 2026.
She left the championships with 11 career medals, including eight gold medals. That total made her the leading medal winner in the history of the competition.
Asher-Smith added two gold medals and one bronze in Birmingham. Her victories came in the women’s 200 metres and the women’s 4 × 100 metres relay, while her additional medal came in another event during the championships.
Her record is based on career medals across multiple editions, not simply medals won in Birmingham. Amy Hunt, meanwhile, set the single-edition record by winning four golds at the 2026 championships.
