Answer
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla introduced the series’ first playable Viking protagonist.
Released in 2020, Valhalla follows Eivor, a Viking who leaves Norway and establishes a settlement in England during the ninth century. Players can choose a male or female presentation for Eivor, but both versions use the same character name and central identity.
The game depicts Viking expansion into Anglo-Saxon England and includes alliances with several English kingdoms. Eivor also encounters the Hidden Ones, the organization that later develops into the Assassin Brotherhood, and becomes involved in their conflict with the Order of the Ancients.
Valhalla is distinct from Odyssey, whose setting is ancient Greece, and Origins, whose setting is Ptolemaic Egypt. Although Vikings had appeared in historical-fiction media before the game, Valhalla was the first main Assassin’s Creed title built around a playable Viking hero.
