Which Airbus aircraft was the first to fly with the CFM International LEAP engine?

The story behind the answer

The Airbus A320neo was the first Airbus aircraft to fly with the CFM International LEAP engine.

An A320neo powered by LEAP-1A engines made the type’s first flight on 19 May 2015. The LEAP engine was developed by CFM International, a joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines.

The A320neo program gave airlines a choice between the LEAP-1A and Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM. Both were designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions compared with the engines used on earlier A320-family aircraft.

The Airbus A321XLR is a later A321neo derivative, not a separate first-generation LEAP test aircraft. The A220 uses the related PW1500G rather than the LEAP.
