Where is the Airbus A380 assembled before delivery to customers?
Answer
Toulouse, France
Answer
Toulouse, France
The Airbus A380 is assembled in Toulouse, France, before delivery to customers.
The A380’s main assembly line was built at Toulouse–Blagnac Airport, where major sections arriving from several European production sites were joined into complete aircraft. The location reflects Toulouse’s long-standing importance in Airbus civil-aircraft manufacturing.
A380 components came from Airbus facilities and suppliers across Europe. The wings were produced in Broughton, Wales, while other major sections were manufactured in Germany, Spain and France. These parts were transported to Toulouse by specially adapted road convoys, ships and aircraft.
A common mix-up is Hamburg, which is also a major Airbus site and is associated with final assembly of several A320-family aircraft. The A380’s dedicated final assembly line, however, was in Toulouse. The programme ended after the last A380 was delivered in 2021, but Toulouse remains one of Airbus’s principal assembly locations.
