Which Airbus aircraft uses the Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 as its exclusive engine?

The story behind the answer

The Airbus A330neo uses the Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 as its exclusive engine.

The A330neo is the re-engined version of the A330 family. Airbus selected the Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 for both passenger variants, the A330-800 and A330-900. The engine is derived from the Trent 1000 used on the Boeing 787 and incorporates technology from the Trent XWB family used on the Airbus A350.

The Trent 7000 provides the A330neo with improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions and reduced noise compared with earlier A330 engine options. The aircraft also received new composite winglets and other aerodynamic and structural improvements.

This exclusive engine arrangement differs from the original A330, which could be ordered with engines from several manufacturers, including Rolls-Royce, General Electric and Pratt & Whitney. It also differs from the A320neo family, which offers a choice between CFM LEAP engines and Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines.
