Which Airbus aircraft has the internal designation A220-300?

The story behind the answer

The Airbus A220-300 is the larger production variant of the A220 family.

The A220-300 was originally developed by Bombardier as the CS300, alongside the smaller CS100. Airbus acquired a majority interest in the CSeries programme in 2018 and rebranded the aircraft as the A220 family. The former CS300 became the A220-300, while the CS100 became the A220-100.

The A220-300 is a single-aisle jet designed for roughly 120 to 160 passengers, depending on configuration. It uses Pratt & Whitney PW1500G geared turbofan engines. Its designation is sometimes mistaken for an Airbus A320-family variant, but the A220 is a separate aircraft family with a different design and development history.
