Which actress plays Sheriff Kerry in Lanterns?

Kelly Macdonald plays Sheriff Kerry in Lanterns.

Kerry is the sheriff of Rushville, Nebraska, the close-knit community where Hal Jordan and John Stewart investigate a murder. She is deeply devoted to her family and town and becomes territorial when the visiting Green Lanterns arrive as outsiders with unusual authority.

The character gives the Earth-based mystery a local law-enforcement perspective. Jordan and Stewart are intergalactic peacekeepers, but Kerry knows the people and institutions of the community they are entering. She is also described as a love interest for Jordan, adding a personal connection to the investigation.

Macdonald was cast in the main role in October 2024, shortly after Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre were confirmed as Jordan and Stewart. She is not playing one of the Lantern Corps members. Poorna Jagannathan plays Zoe, Nicole Ari Parker plays Stewart’s mother Bernadette, and Laura Linney portrays a member of the Guardians of the Universe.
