Which actor voices Marty in the Madagascar film series?

Chris Rock voices Marty in the Madagascar film series.

Marty is the zebra who lives at the Central Park Zoo and longs to experience the wild. Chris Rock supplies the character’s English-language voice across the animated film series, helping define Marty through fast-paced comic delivery and optimistic curiosity.

The core English voice cast also includes Ben Stiller as Alex, David Schwimmer as Melman, and Sacha Baron Cohen as King Julien. Their voices are attached to different characters, which makes cast questions a frequent source of mix-ups.

Chris Rock’s role as Marty is separate from his work as a performer and comedian outside the franchise. Voice casts can differ in dubbed versions released for other countries, so this answer refers specifically to the original English-language films.
