Which actor provides the voice of Mater in Pixar's Cars films?

Larry the Cable Guy provides the voice of Mater in Pixar's Cars films.

Mater is a rusty tow truck from Radiator Springs and becomes Lightning McQueen's closest friend. His voice, catchphrases, and country-comedy style were written to fit a character who is enthusiastic, loyal, and often unaware of how others perceive him. Larry the Cable Guy, whose real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney, was already known for the character's comedic persona before joining the film.

Mater's full name is Tow Mater, a pun on the word “tomater,” and his appearance reflects an old tow truck with mismatched parts and faded paint. Despite his comic role, he is an important emotional character: he welcomes McQueen when other residents distrust the stranded racer.

Mater returns as a major character in Cars 2, where he is mistakenly treated as a secret agent, and in Cars 3. He also stars in the short-form series Mater's Tall Tales.
