Arden Cho provides the English speaking voice of Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters.
Rumi is Huntrix’s leader and lead vocalist, and she is secretly half demon. Cho performs Rumi’s spoken dialogue, including the character’s conversations with Mira, Zoey, Jinu, and Celine. The role places Rumi at the center of both the film’s action and its emotional conflict.
Rumi’s singing voice is performed separately by Ejae. This two-performer arrangement is a common source of confusion: Arden Cho voices the character’s dialogue, while Ejae sings the recorded songs associated with Rumi.
Cho is part of the film’s English-language voice cast, which also includes Ahn Hyo-seop as Jinu, May Hong as Mira, Ji-young Yoo as Zoey, and Yunjin Kim as Celine. The distinction between speaking and singing credits is especially important for Huntrix.
