Answer
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Answer
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was the first screenplay written by J.K. Rowling.
Released in 2016, the film expands the wizarding world beyond the Harry Potter story. It follows magizoologist Newt Scamander after he arrives in 1926 New York with a magical suitcase containing creatures.
Rowling wrote the screenplay from an original story, rather than adapting one of her novels. The film’s title is shared with a Hogwarts textbook credited in the Harry Potter world to Newt Scamander. The textbook was also published in the real world as a charity companion book in 2001.
David Yates directed the film, and Eddie Redmayne played Newt. The movie began the Fantastic Beasts film series, which explores the wizarding world decades before Harry attends Hogwarts.
