Which 1981 Italian zombie film was directed by Lucio Fulci and released internationally as The Beyond?
Answer
E tu vivrai nel terrore! L'aldilà
Lucio Fulci's 1981 Italian zombie film released internationally as The Beyond is titled E tu vivrai nel terrore! L'aldilà.
The Italian title translates roughly as “And You Will Live in Terror! The Beyond.” The film follows Liza Merrill after she inherits a Louisiana hotel built over one of the seven gateways to Hell. Its dreamlike narrative links supernatural horror with graphic undead imagery.
The Beyond is one of Fulci's best-known horror films, alongside Zombie and City of the Living Dead. Those titles are sometimes confused because all three use occult or apocalyptic elements and were marketed internationally under different names. The movie's alternate English titles include Seven Doors of Death and The Seven Doors of Death.
