Where does Al plan to send Woody’s Roundup collection in Toy Story 2?

Al plans to send Woody’s Roundup collection to a museum in Japan in Toy Story 2.

After stealing Woody, Al places him with Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete to complete a collection based on the fictional television show Woody’s Roundup. His plan is to sell the complete set to a Japanese museum, where the toys will be displayed together rather than played with by a child.

The planned shipment creates the film’s deadline. Woody must decide whether to remain with the collection as a museum exhibit or return to Andy, while Buzz and the other toys race to rescue him before the group is transported.

The museum is not identified as a real named institution in the film. The setting reflects the story’s broader contrast between toys as valuable collectibles and toys as companions in a child’s everyday life.
