Where did principal photography for Spider-Man: Brand New Day begin?

Principal photography for Spider-Man: Brand New Day began in Glasgow, Scotland.

Filming started on August 3, 2025, with Glasgow standing in for New York City. Production used areas including Merchant City, George Square, and Trongate for scenes designed to represent the film's New York setting.

Using Glasgow as a substitute for New York allowed the production to create recognizable urban action environments while filming in the United Kingdom. The filmmakers also recreated parts of Queens on Glasgow streets and at Pinewood Studios in England.

The Glasgow work was only the beginning of the shoot. Additional filming took place throughout England, including London, Surrey, Basingstoke, and Dorchester. The production eventually wrapped on December 19, 2025.
