The working title used during filming of the DC series Lanterns was Latitude. Productions often use alternate titles on schedules, call sheets, and location paperwork to keep large shoots organized and reduce unwanted attention.
Principal photography began in Los Angeles during the week of February 17, 2025. The production also used Warner Bros. Studios Burbank, where the Stewart family home was built on Stage 19. The working title therefore belonged to the production process rather than the fictional world of the show.
Latitude should not be confused with an alternate series title or a character name. The released program retained the title Lanterns, reflecting its focus on the Green Lantern mythology and the partnership between Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
The filming plan had previously been expected to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, but production moved to Southern California after DC Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery secured the necessary studio arrangements and tax credits.
