What was the Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) titled?

The story behind the answer

The Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) was titled Need for Speed: Most Wanted U.

The U suffix distinguished Nintendo’s version from the editions released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows and other platforms. Released in 2013, Most Wanted U included the previously released Ultimate Speed Pack and added features built around the Wii U GamePad, making it more than a simple title change.

The GamePad supported Off-TV Play, allowing the game to be played on the controller’s screen without a television. It also enabled Co-Driver, a local cooperative mode in which one player drove while another used the GamePad to assist with navigation and controls. Players could also use it to change modifications and switch cars.

The Wii U edition included full Miiverse integration and three hidden vehicles referencing Mario, Peach and Yoshi. These extras helped give the port its own identity. The title should not be confused with an alternate Criterion-branded release: “Most Wanted U” was the official name used for the Wii U version.
