What was the title of J.K. Rowling’s 2012 charity e-book of wizarding tales?

The story behind the answer

J.K. Rowling’s 2012 charity e-book of wizarding tales was The Tales of Beedle the Bard. The collection appears within the Harry Potter story and is especially important in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The book contains five fictional fairy tales: “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot,” “The Fountain of Fair Fortune,” “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart,” “Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump,” and “The Tale of the Three Brothers.” Albus Dumbledore’s notes accompany the tales in the wizarding-world edition.

Rowling wrote and illustrated the original limited-edition manuscript, which was auctioned for charity in 2007. A wider edition was published in 2008, with proceeds supporting the Children’s High Level Group, later renamed Lumos. The 2012 digital edition was released through Pottermore, now known as Wizarding World Digital.
