J.K. Rowling’s 2011 website and fan platform for the Harry Potter world was called Pottermore.
Pottermore launched in 2011 as an interactive digital experience connected with the Harry Potter books. Users could explore illustrated moments from the stories, receive sorting and wand results, and read new writing supplied by Rowling about the wizarding world.
The project later expanded beyond its original format and was renamed Wizarding World Digital in 2019. The broader Wizarding World brand now covers Harry Potter and related works, including the Fantastic Beasts films. That later brand change is why some modern references do not use the Pottermore name.
Pottermore was not a new Harry Potter novel or a social-media account. It was a branded website and digital fan experience that combined official background material with interactive features.
