BLACKPINK’s first studio album, released in 2020, was titled The Album.
The Album was released by YG Entertainment and Interscope Records on 2 October 2020. It followed the group’s earlier single albums and extended plays, making it their first full-length studio release.
The record includes “How You Like That,” “Lovesick Girls” and “Ice Cream,” a collaboration with Selena Gomez. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 and became the highest-charting album by an all-female group at that time.
The album’s title is deliberately simple and generic. It is often confused with Born Pink, BLACKPINK’s second studio album, which arrived in 2022.
