What was the only studio album released by The Ronettes?
Answer
Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes
Answer
Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes
The Ronettes’ only studio album was Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes, released in 1964.
The album was produced by Phil Spector and issued on his Philles Records label. It collected recordings by the New York vocal group led by Veronica Bennett, later known as Ronnie Spector, along with Estelle Bennett and Nedra Talley.
Its track list includes “Be My Baby,” the Ronettes’ landmark 1963 single, as well as “Baby, I Love You” and “Walking in the Rain.” The album showcases Spector’s Wall of Sound production style, which used dense layers of instruments and vocals to create a large, echoing arrangement.
The title can be confused with later compilations, including The Ronettes’ Greatest Hits. Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes is their sole original studio album, rather than a career-spanning collection.
