What was the name of the hospital where Bob Marley died?

The story behind the answer

Bob Marley died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, Florida, on 11 May 1981.

Marley had been receiving treatment in Germany after doctors diagnosed him with acral lentiginous melanoma, a rare form of skin cancer that began beneath a toenail. When his condition worsened, he flew toward Jamaica, but the aircraft was diverted to Miami. He was taken to Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, where he died at age 36.

The hospital later became known as University of Miami Hospital and is now part of the University of Miami Health System. That modern name causes a common mix-up: sources describing the 1981 event generally use the historical name, Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, while contemporary references may identify the same institution by its later name.

Marley was buried in Jamaica after a state funeral on 21 May 1981. His death followed a career that had made reggae internationally famous through albums such as Exodus, Kaya, and Uprising.
