What was the title of Bob Marley's first posthumous studio album?

The story behind the answer

Bob Marley's first posthumous studio album was Confrontation.

Released on May 23, 1983, Confrontation arrived two years after Marley's death and became the thirteenth and final studio album credited to Bob Marley & the Wailers. It was assembled from unreleased material and singles recorded during Marley's lifetime rather than from a wholly new studio project.

The album includes “Buffalo Soldier,” one of Marley's best-known songs, along with “Jump Nyabinghi,” “Blackman Redemption” and “Rastaman Live Up.” Some tracks were developed from earlier recordings, with additional harmony vocals and other production work helping create a consistent album sequence.

The title and artwork carry strong symbolic meaning. The cover presents Marley as Saint George defeating a dragon representing Babylon, while the sleeve includes imagery linked to Ethiopia's 1896 victory at the Battle of Adwa. Listeners sometimes choose Legend because it is the most famous posthumous Marley release, but Legend is a compilation from 1984, not a studio album. Uprising, released in 1980, was his final studio album issued during his lifetime.
