What was the name of Steve Jobs’s biological sister, whom he met as an adult?

The story behind the answer

Steve Jobs’s biological sister, whom he met as an adult, was novelist Mona Simpson. Simpson and Jobs were the biological children of Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne Schieble.

Jobs was adopted shortly after his birth and grew up with Paul and Clara Jobs in California. Simpson was also placed for adoption, and she later learned about her biological family. The siblings met in the 1980s, after Jobs had become an adult.

Mona Simpson wrote novels including Anywhere but Here and A Regular Guy. Her 1996 novel A Regular Guy drew attention because its fictional father was widely associated with aspects of Jobs. Simpson also spoke at Jobs’s memorial service in 2011.
