Answer
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was the first screenplay written by J.K. Rowling.
The screenplay was written for the 2016 film of the same name, directed by David Yates. It expands on the fictional textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which Rowling originally published in 2001 as a charity companion book credited to Newt Scamander.
The film is set in 1926, decades before the main Harry Potter story, and follows Newt Scamander after he arrives in New York with a case containing magical creatures. Eddie Redmayne plays Newt, while the story introduces the wider wizarding world beyond Britain.
Rowling wrote the screenplays for the subsequent films in the Fantastic Beasts series as well. The film was produced by Warner Bros. and is connected to the Harry Potter franchise, but it is not an adaptation of one of the seven Harry Potter novels.
