Answer
Into the New World
“Into the New World” was the debut single of South Korean girl group Girls’ Generation.
SM Entertainment released the song digitally on August 3, 2007, before the group’s debut single album followed later that month. The track introduced the nine-member group with an energetic dance-pop sound and became closely associated with Girls’ Generation’s early identity.
The song was written by Young-hu Kim, with music by Kenny K. Lee and arrangement by Yoo Han-jin. It did not initially become the group’s biggest chart hit, because later singles such as “Gee” and “Genie” achieved broader commercial impact. Nevertheless, “Into the New World” remained an important fan favorite and a recurring performance choice. It is sometimes confused with “Gee,” but “Gee” was a later single from 2009.
