What was Destiny’s Child’s second studio album called?

The story behind the answer

Destiny’s Child’s second studio album was The Writing’s on the Wall.

Columbia Records released the album on July 27, 1999. It was the group’s major commercial breakthrough and featured Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett in the original album-era lineup.

The album produced several well-known singles, including “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Say My Name,” “Jumpin’ Jumpin’,” and “Bug a Boo.” “Bills, Bills, Bills” became Destiny’s Child’s first number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100, while “Say My Name” later won Grammy Awards for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best R&B Song.

The Writing’s on the Wall is sometimes mixed up with Survivor, which was released in 2001, or Destiny Fulfilled, the group’s 2004 final studio album. Its title uses the familiar expression “the writing on the wall.”
