What mobile Madden game was released on August 26, 2014?

The mobile Madden game released on August 26, 2014, was Madden NFL Mobile. EA Sports launched it for iOS and Android as a dedicated version of the NFL football series.

The game combined touch-focused controls with a team-building structure similar to Madden Ultimate Team. Players could collect current and legendary NFL stars, build rosters, play a season, compete in head-to-head challenges, and tackle regularly changing Live Events. It was designed as a free-to-play mobile experience rather than a direct console port.

The release date is easy to mix up because Madden NFL 15 launched for consoles in North America on the same day. Madden NFL Mobile also evolved over time: it received annual seasonal updates, was renamed Madden NFL Overdrive for the 2018–19 season, and later returned to the Madden Mobile name.
