What material is Forky made from in Pixar’s Toy Story 4?

Forky is made from a spork in Pixar’s Toy Story 4.

Bonnie creates Forky during a kindergarten orientation activity by combining a disposable spork with craft materials, including pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and a popsicle-stick foot. Bonnie sees the result as a toy, but Forky initially sees himself as trash.

That conflict drives much of Toy Story 4. Woody tries to protect Forky because Forky is Bonnie’s favorite new creation, even though Forky repeatedly attempts to throw himself away. The character gives the film a comic way to explore how toys acquire meaning through a child’s imagination.

The name “Forky” is a playful mismatch because the character is technically built around a spork rather than a conventional fork. Tony Hale provides Forky’s English voice.
