What is the working title originally used for KPop Demon Hunters?

The project’s original working title was K-Pop: Demon Hunters.

Sony announced the film in March 2021 under that working title. The name directly described its central combination of Korean pop music and supernatural action before the project adopted the stylized final title KPop Demon Hunters.

The completed film centers on HUNTR/X, a fictional girl group whose members are also demon hunters. Its title ultimately uses “KPop” without the hyphen and places the genre label directly beside the supernatural premise.

The working title is a development detail, not the name of a different film. It should also not be confused with HUNTR/X, the fictional group inside the story, or with KPop Demon Hunters: the soundtrack, which is the title of the associated music release.
