What is the title of the Buffy episode in which no dialogue is spoken for most of the story?

The story behind the answer

What is the title of the Buffy episode in which no dialogue is spoken for most of the story? Hush. The season 4 episode “Hush” is famous for making Buffy nearly silent for much of its 44-minute runtime.

In the story, the Gentlemen steal the voices of Sunnydale’s residents so they can cut out their hearts without victims screaming. Buffy, Willow, Giles, Xander, and the other characters must communicate through gestures, writing, and facial expressions while investigating the murders.

The episode contains roughly 17 minutes of spoken dialogue, with about 27 minutes entirely dialogue-free. Its unusual structure was deliberately designed by creator Joss Whedon after he became concerned that the show was relying too heavily on its celebrated dialogue.

Viewers sometimes confuse “Hush” with “The Body,” another experimental Buffy episode known for its restrained sound design and realism. “The Body” contains dialogue but avoids supernatural action for much of its opening, whereas “Hush” is specifically the largely silent episode featuring the Gentlemen.
