What is the title of Beyoncé’s 2022 album named for a rebirth or renewal?

Beyoncé’s 2022 album named for rebirth or renewal is Renaissance.

Renaissance was released on July 29, 2022, as the first act of Beyoncé’s planned three-act project. It marked her return to a full-length solo studio album after Lemonade in 2016 and drew heavily on dance music, house, disco, funk, and Black queer club culture.

The album’s lead single, “Break My Soul,” became a major hit and helped establish its energetic, dance-oriented sound. Other tracks include “Alien Superstar,” “Cuff It,” and “Virgo’s Groove.” The album was widely praised for its production and references to earlier dance and club traditions.

Renaissance is distinct from Cowboy Carter, the title of Beyoncé’s 2024 album and the second act of the broader project. The title’s renewal theme also reflects the album’s celebration of dance floors and communal release.
