Which Beyoncé-led group won Best R&B Performance for “Say My Name” at the 2001 Grammys?

Destiny’s Child won Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Say My Name” at the 2001 Grammys.

“Say My Name” was released as a single from the group’s second major-label album, The Writing’s on the Wall. The song was written by Beyoncé Knowles, LaShawn Daniels, Fred Jerkins III, Rodney Jerkins and other collaborators. Rodney Jerkins produced it.

The single became one of Destiny’s Child’s signature recordings and topped the Billboard Hot 100. Its music video used contrasting color schemes and helped introduce the group’s revised lineup to a wide audience after lineup changes.

Beyoncé was the group’s most prominent member, but Destiny’s Child was a group achievement rather than a solo award. The 2001 ceremony also brought the group a Grammy for Best R&B Song for “Say My Name.”
