Which Beyoncé album includes the country song “Texas Hold ’Em”?

Beyoncé’s country-focused album Cowboy Carter includes the song “Texas Hold ’Em.”

Cowboy Carter was released on March 29, 2024, as the second act of Beyoncé’s planned three-act project. It follows Renaissance and explores country, Americana, rock, blues, folk, and related traditions while emphasizing the Black artists and musical histories that helped shape those genres.

“Texas Hold ’Em” was released as a lead single with “16 Carriages” in February 2024. It became Beyoncé’s first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 and made her the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

The album also contains “Jolene,” a reworking of Dolly Parton’s famous song, and “II Most Wanted,” featuring Miley Cyrus. Cowboy Carter is the album’s official title, while some listeners initially referred to the project by the informal name Act II.
