The wizarding sport in which Harry Potter plays Seeker is Quidditch. J.K. Rowling created the fictional game for the Harry Potter books, where teams compete while flying on broomsticks.
A standard Quidditch team has seven players: three Chasers, two Beaters, one Keeper, and one Seeker. Chasers handle the Quaffle, Beaters defend teammates and disrupt opponents with Bludgers, and the Keeper guards the goal hoops.
The Seeker’s main task is to catch the Golden Snitch. In the books, catching it normally ends the match and awards 150 points, although the team that catches it does not automatically win if the score remains lower.
Quidditch is often confused with real-world adaptations played without flying. Rowling’s fictional rules inspired several forms of Muggle Quidditch, later known in some settings as quadball.
