What is the name of the wizarding-school textbook credited to Newt Scamander?

The wizarding-school textbook credited to Newt Scamander is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Within J.K. Rowling’s fictional world, the book is presented as a Hogwarts textbook written by Newt Scamander. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger use it during their studies. Rowling published a real charity companion book under the same title in 2001, with proceeds supporting Comic Relief.

The title later became the basis for the Fantastic Beasts film series. In those films, Newt Scamander is portrayed as a magizoologist and serves as the central character. The films expand the wizarding world beyond the main Harry Potter storyline and are set decades before Harry’s time at Hogwarts.

The textbook and the films are related but not identical works. The original companion volume is written as a fictional reference book, while the film series tells an original narrative around Newt and other characters.
