What is the name of the villain in The Lego Ninjago Movie?

The villain in The Lego Ninjago Movie is Lord Garmadon. He is an evil warlord who repeatedly attacks Ninjago City with his sea-creature-themed Shark Army and seeks to conquer the city.

Garmadon is also the father of Lloyd, the film’s teenage protagonist and the secret Green Ninja. Their strained family relationship gives the story more emotional depth than a simple hero-versus-villain battle. Lloyd is disliked by the citizens of Ninjago because of his connection to Garmadon, even though he secretly protects them as part of the ninja team. Garmadon is the brother of Master Wu, who trains Lloyd and the other ninjas.

The film’s version of Garmadon is voiced by Justin Theroux. Although he is the main antagonist for much of the story, the plot eventually forces him and Lloyd to work together against the threat posed by Meowthra, a giant live-action cat attracted by Lloyd’s use of the Ultimate Weapon. The Overlord is a different major antagonist from the Ninjago television mythology, while Kai is one of the heroes and General Zod belongs to DC Comics.
