Geri is the toy repairman who restores Woody in Toy Story 2.
After Al McWhiggin steals Woody, Al takes him to his apartment and prepares him for sale as part of a valuable collection. Geri repairs Woody's damaged arm and cleans and restores his appearance, making the cowboy doll ready for display.
Geri is a professional toy restorer rather than a child or a toy. His careful work helps reveal Woody's history as the star of the fictional television program Woody's Roundup, alongside Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete.
The character's name is also a reference to Pixar's 1997 short film Geri's Game, whose elderly protagonist resembles the repairman. The Geri in Toy Story 2 is not the same story character, but the connection is an intentional Pixar in-joke.
