What is the name of the sheriff in Pixar’s Cars?

The sheriff in Pixar’s Cars is officially identified simply as Sheriff.

Sheriff is the black-and-white police car who patrols Radiator Springs. He catches Lightning McQueen speeding through town and helps enforce the community’s rules after the racer accidentally damages the main road. The character is a 1949 Mercury Police Cruiser and is voiced by actor Michael Wallis.
