What is the name of the rival racer introduced in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the rival racer introduced in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of high-performance racers. He is faster, more technologically advanced, and trained using modern data-driven methods, making him a major threat to Lightning McQueen’s established career. His success helps trigger Lightning’s decision to pursue a demanding comeback.

The character is voiced by Armie Hammer. Storm’s dark bodywork, sharp aerodynamic shape, and aggressive attitude contrast with Lightning’s older racing style and more personal approach to competition.

Cars 3 focuses on Lightning’s attempt to remain relevant as younger racers enter the sport. Chick Hicks, who appears in the first Cars film, is a different rival. Cal Weathers and Bobby Swift are also racers in the Cars 3 world, but neither is the principal new antagonist.
