What is the name of the racecar who challenges Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the racecar who challenges Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars 3. Storm represents a new generation of highly engineered racers whose speed and training exceed the older champion’s performance.

At the start of the film, Storm dominates the Piston Cup season and forces many veteran racers into retirement. Lightning responds by seeking help from trainer Cruz Ramirez, first trying to match the new racers through technology and later rediscovering the importance of experience and racing instinct.

Jackson Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer. He is not the same character as Chick Hicks, Lightning’s rival in the first Cars, or Francesco Bernoulli, the Italian competitor featured in Cars 2.
