The Indigo Plateau Conference is the Pokémon League conference at the end of the original Kanto story.

Ash enters the tournament after earning the required Kanto Gym Badges and travels to Indigo Plateau, the headquarters of the Kanto Pokémon League. The competition brings together qualified Trainers for a large elimination tournament rather than a single Gym battle.

The conference is remembered for Ash’s early League run, including his battle with Ritchie. Ash reaches the top sixteen before losing to Ritchie after Charizard refuses to follow his commands. The result shows that entering a League is only one stage of a Trainer’s development.
