Goh is Ash’s research fellow and traveling companion in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
Goh works with Ash at the Cerise Laboratory in Vermilion City. His central goal is to catch every species of Pokémon, eventually hoping to encounter Mew. This ambition gives his storyline a different emphasis from Ash’s focus on Pokémon battles and championships.
Goh’s first partner Pokémon is Scorbunny, which later evolves into Raboot and then Cinderace. He catches Pokémon from many regions, including species Ash had never encountered during his earlier journeys.
Chloe Cerise is another important character connected to the laboratory, but she is not Ash’s main research fellow. She is Professor Cerise’s daughter and becomes more involved in Pokémon research as the series develops.
