What is the name of the Ottoman city where much of Assassin's Creed Revelations takes place?

The story behind the answer

Constantinople is the Ottoman city where much of Assassin's Creed Revelations takes place.

The game follows Ezio Auditore as he travels to Constantinople in the early 16th century. There, he searches for keys connected to Altaïr's legacy and becomes involved in tensions among the Ottoman succession, Byzantine remnants, and Templar forces.

The city is divided into districts and includes landmarks such as Hagia Sophia, the Galata Tower, and the Topkapı area. Revelations also introduces a hookblade and expands the series' use of zip lines and vertical traversal.

Constantinople was the city's common historical name during the period represented by the game; it was the capital of the Ottoman Empire from 1453 until the early 20th century. Alexandria, Damascus, and Jerusalem are important locations in other Assassin's Creed stories, especially those set in Egypt or the Levant.
