What is the name of the main character in Need for Speed: The Run?

The main character in Need for Speed: The Run is Jack Rourke.

Jack is an experienced street racer who becomes the playable protagonist of the game’s single-player campaign. At the start of the story, he is in serious trouble with the Mob because of a large unpaid debt. After escaping an attempted murder in Oakland, Jack contacts his friend Sam Harper, who offers him a way out: enter a dangerous illegal race from San Francisco to New York and win a share of its enormous prize.

Jack’s role distinguishes The Run from many earlier Need for Speed games, whose protagonists were usually unnamed or lightly characterized racers. He is portrayed and voiced by actor Sean Faris, while Christina Hendricks voices Sam Harper. The game’s plot unfolds between racing stages through cinematic scenes, car chases, and confrontations with rivals and law enforcement. Tyler Morgan, by contrast, is the protagonist of the later game Need for Speed Payback, making him a frequent franchise-related mix-up.
