What is the name of the Madagascar franchise’s penguin television series?

The Madagascar franchise’s penguin television series is called The Penguins of Madagascar.

The Penguins of Madagascar follows Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private during their adventures at the Central Park Zoo. The series builds on the penguins’ supporting appearances in the Madagascar films and gives them a separate set of missions, inventions, and rivalries.

The show premiered in 2008 on Nickelodeon and ran for three seasons. Its stories often contrast Skipper’s military-style leadership with Kowalski’s technical planning, Rico’s unusual ability to produce objects, and Private’s younger, more sensitive personality.

The television title is distinct from Penguins of Madagascar, the 2014 feature film. Both productions focus on the same core penguin team, but the series is titled The Penguins of Madagascar and was created for television.
