What is the name of the fictional village where J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter parents lived?
Answer
Godric’s Hollow
Answer
Godric’s Hollow
Godric’s Hollow is the fictional village where Harry Potter’s parents lived.
In J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter story, James and Lily Potter lived in Godric’s Hollow with their infant son Harry. Voldemort attacked the family there on 31 October 1981, killing James and Lily and leaving Harry with his lightning-shaped scar. The village later becomes an important destination during Harry’s search for Horcruxes.
Godric’s Hollow is also associated with the history of Albus Dumbledore and the legendary wandmaker Godric Gryffindor. Readers sometimes confuse it with Hogsmeade, the magical village near Hogwarts, or Little Whinging, the Surrey town where Harry grows up with the Dursleys. Those locations have different roles in the series.
