Albus Dumbledore was born in the fictional village of Mould-on-the-Wold in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter world.
The village is identified in supplementary information about Dumbledore's early life. Dumbledore was born in 1881 to Percival and Kendra Dumbledore. He later lived with his family in Godric's Hollow, where a family tragedy involving his sister Ariana profoundly shaped his life.
Mould-on-the-Wold is easy to confuse with Godric's Hollow because both places are connected with Dumbledore's family history. Godric's Hollow is also associated with the Peverells, the Potters, and the graveyard visited by Harry and Hermione. Mould-on-the-Wold, by contrast, is specifically Dumbledore's birthplace.
